Hydro-Dipping

For the more daring among you why not try our more permanent finish of Hydrographic Printing, also known as Hydro-Dipping.
Hydro Dipping is the process of applying a new finish to an existing part or product using a hydro tank to place a graphic film over your piece.
There are currently hundreds of different patterns to choose from including camouflage, wood, carbon fibre, metal, stone and we now offer custom printing and all available with any colour combination so the limit literally is your imagination.
Wheel Refurbish

We provide alloy wheel refurbishment for all types of alloy wheels. Not only can we deal with corrosion, scratch marks, scuffs and cracks, we can manage a complete colour change whilst we’re at it.
Alloy wheel refurbishment costs less than replacement, yet delivers like-new looks and safety. If your wheels are looking old, corroded or pitted, alloy wheel refurbishment is by far the most efficient option.
We offer traditional paint finish or why not have your wheels finished in one of our many plasti dip colours giving you the option of a colour change when ever you want! And don't forget we can hydro dip your wheels too, from carbon fibre to wood look!
​Plasti-Dip
The Process

The completely reversible process of liquid car wrapping is quite simple. The wrap is sprayed on initialy as a liquid which then sets to a perfect rubbery plastic layer. This layer will not fade in colour or distort in extreme temeratures which can sometimes be the case with the traditionally more expensive process of vinyl car wrapping.
Because liquid spray on wrap is usually peeled off in one piece no sticky residue or unsightly pieces will be left on your vehicle.
​Hydro-Dip
The Process

Your piece is prepared for refinishing with a base colour of you choice, next a polyvinyl film containing the pattern is floated on top of a vat of water, the water acts as the medium to transfer your print into the form of your piece. An activator is then applied to release the print overlay from the polyvinyl backing. We then 'dip' your part into the film transferring the pattern onto your piece. Final stages include an automotive clear coat finish depending on the design and required durability of the final product.
​Wheel-Refurb
The Process

PistonPaint offer a full factory alloy wheel refurbishment, not just a touch up. First, we will bead blast the wheels (if necessary) and sand them down. Next, we build the wheel back up by adding coats of primer until each wheel is perfect. Lastly, we spray each wheel with factory-matching paint or your choice of our many plasti or hydro - dipping options. Final stages include an automotive clear coat finish.
